Pedro Perez is a video editor and a post production manager whom has been working professionally in media for over ten years. Pedro brings a rare combination of hands-on technical fluency and production management judgment. He is equally comfortable behind an editing timeline, troubleshooting a file based workflow issue, or coordinating a cross-functional team to keep a project on schedule. He is organized, detail oriented, and used to adapting quickly when priorities shift, and he is actively seeking a role where he can keep growing, whether that means deepening his production management experience, moving further into post production operations and media management, or exploring adjacent creative and technical opportunities that draw on his editing and storytelling background.
Film was not the initial career path for Pedro. From a very young age music was a very strong draw. Born an only child, for a greater part of his adolescence, to a young Mexican couple that shared living space with family during his formative years. One of his high school aged cousins introduced Pedro to the music before he was school aged, which he was obsessed with. When Pedro had his first go around at college, he had ambitions of becoming a music producer. However, when he took multimedia courses that path was diverted and he fell in love with video editing. The ability to manipulate video and audio together was much more appealing. Pedro has worked on stop motion projects, music videos, animations, and short films. The more he worked on film and video the more he fell in love with the film creation process and the more certain he wanted to pursue film as his career.
